.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain name extension is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At first, just third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to order john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Existing 3rd-level domains remained operational.

Through our firm, you can register your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to modify the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registrar firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no special stipulations on who can obtain a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.

The .NAME extension is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the right spelling in your local language.
