There are 2 services you'll need for a functioning website - a domain plus a hosting plan for it. When you type the Internet domain in your browser, you see the content that’s uploaded within the website hosting account, but if that Internet domain is not linked to such an account or to an e-mail service, it's parked. In other words, the domain is registered and you're its owner, but it does not have any content of its own. As a substitute, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” page from the registrar company, or it can be directed to some other URL of your choice. The advantage of parking a domain address is that you can keep it and ensure that nobody else is going to take it. At the same time, it won't occupy a slot for a hosted Internet domain within your account. You may also park domain names if you have a .com, for instance, and you register domains with other extensions such as .net, .org or country-code ones to forward them to the main web site in order to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Website Hosting

With each and every website hosting package which we offer you’re able to park as many domains as you would like and unlike other companies, we do not have any service fees for that. However, this can be done only for domains that are registered through our company as parking a domain is possible only through the registrar, but not through the host unless you have both services with the same company. We have a feature-rich Domain Manager tool where you can quickly park and un-park domain names, choose one of the templates we offer and add custom text to it, or direct a domain to a URL of your choice. If you host a parked domain, our system will change its name servers and set up a folder in the File Manager automatically. You could also set filters to check out only the parked or only the hosted domain addresses, which will permit you to manage them fast and easy.
